Spikey gets a feature in the news again this time from RNZ. A group of Taranaki students have been paying Spikey school trip visits to learn about the technology and how this postively impacts the environment. Always good to see the next generation being inspired.

The future of farming is HERE!!
The latest Spikey was found in at the Ellesmere A&P show, showing off it's new features. The latest integrated liquid system has the capabilities of not only treating urine patches but also target spraying where the fertiliser is needed (missing the urine patches). We’d like to congratulate Dumsane Themba Matse (Themba) for being awarded ‘2021 NZ Society of Soil Science and Soil Science Australia Joint conference: Best poster presentation award’. Themba’s PhD research has been partially funded by Pastoral Robotics Ltd.
Themba commenced his Massey PhD in July 2019 supervised by Dr Paramsothy Jeyakumar (Primary supervisor), Dr Peter Bishop and Dr Chris Anderson. Looking forward to the results this brilliant team produces. Honoured to be named by Finistere Ventures as the first five startups taking part in the Farm2050 Nutrient Technology Trialing Platform. Exciting to see what this group of startups can do in this innovative program.

In partnership with Jackson Spreading, the latest Spikey model has been commissioned in Ashburton. This is our 3rd Spikey in the South Island, and looking to grow this fleet in the near future. The trailered Unit allowed us to implement design solutions while also doubling the capacity it carries making it more ideal for contractors to use. Home-grown kiwi ingenuity, helping kiwi farmers clean our water-ways and grow more grass. Video coming soon... Pastoral Robotics Ltd has taken the proactive approach to demonstrate how Spikey can clean our waterways and grow more grass. Mini Spikey has been on a road trip around the Waikato to show farmers what it can do for them. It visited 8 different farms throughout the week ranging from Owhango to Huntly. A great opportunity to raise awareness of home grown kiwi ingenuity. Watch Spikey operating in the Canterbury Plains. With a simplified explanation of how the robot works and the advantages it gives, find out how it would benefit you. Check out the timelapse footage of the current manufacturing process of Spikey, where a weeks' work is compressed into a single minute. Dairy Trust Taranaki will be featuring Spikey at their open day on Wednesday the 16th of December. This is a unique opportunity for Taranaki based farmers to see Spikey in action and to learn about the exciting research they are doing to improve environmental and productivity outcomes for farmers.
